Removals from Berkshire to where the Thames Valley professional household is heading.

France, Italy, Spain, Portugal — the four corridors we run from Berkshire. Below: where each route goes, who tends to make the move, and how the dock-and-lift coordination works at both ends.

Thames Valley catchment

Where we collect from.

Berkshire is the Thames Valley tech corridor — Reading as county town and tech-corridor primary; Slough as the industrial and international community; Windsor and Maidenhead as the affluent commuter belt; Bracknell as the corporate suburban; Newbury as the rural-affluent telecoms anchor; Wokingham as the professional commuter family belt.

We cover all seven principal towns plus the surrounding villages and parishes. The M4 corridor connects Berkshire directly to the M25 and onward to the south-coast ports and the Eurotunnel terminal — clean road-freight route to the Channel without crossing central London.

UK origins covered

Berkshire primary. Network referrals beyond.

  • Berkshire — Reading, Slough, Windsor, Maidenhead, Bracknell, Newbury, Wokingham
  • Surrounding Thames Valley villages and parishes
  • London (broader Thames Valley M4-corridor reach)
  • On referral: Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol via sister network sites

For UK origins outside the Thames Valley, our sister network sites — Removals Manchester, Putney Removals, Battersea Removals, Romford Removals, Removals Bromley and others — cover their respective catchments. We refer honestly where the move starts outside Berkshire.

Relocation types we work with

Who moves from Berkshire.

Four operational shapes — corporate, family, pre-retirement-still-working, international-returning.

Corporate relocation

Multinational employer move — tech, banking, fund-management, professional services. The corporate mobility office handles destination property and visa; we handle the household consignment, customs filings, and dock-and-lift coordination at both ends.

Family relocation

Long-tenure Berkshire family making a planned multi-year move abroad. School-age children, considered timing, often a destination property already in place. The school-admissions calendar anchors the date.

Pre-retirement, still working

Late-career professional Berkshire household making the move while one or both partners are still working — partial or fully remote. Often a destination property owned for years now becoming the primary address. Partial-consolidation common.

International returning

Berkshire's significant international-professional community heading home or to a next posting. Often consolidating a Thames Valley property back to a country of origin (or onward to a third country). Customs paperwork on the UK side is the standard ToR framework; destination-side documentation depends on the country.

The route shape

From Berkshire to the four destinations.

Road freight via Eurotunnel or Dover–Calais for France, Italy, Spain. Sea route for the Iberian destinations where applicable. Same crew door to door on all routes. Customs filings on our side (UK ToR1 + destination-country declaration); residency-evidence pack on yours; corporate mobility office and destination-side estate management coordination handled alongside.

We do not run corridors outside the four. If your move is to Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Scandinavia, or anywhere outside the cosmopolitan-urban-and-professional-family European specialism, we refer to a sister network site. UK Worldwide Transport for broader international; Rhino Removals for general European; UK Holland Removals for the Netherlands corridor.
